Kiteboarding and Windsurfing Maui

You're definitely missing two "adventure" activities which are synonymous with Maui: Kiteboarding and Windsurfing. Maui is considered one of the best places for both activities offering consistent and reliable trade winds.

Most folks head over to the North side of the island to kite or windsurf. There are many launches available for novices to experts. Of course you will have to take a lesson before considering either sport, but I guarantee that if you do, it will be the highlight of your vacation.

Also, both sports are pursued by young, old, male, female and everything in between. Go for it, look up one of the many schools and enjoy the BEST of Maui.

I LOVE the idea of kiteboarding and windsurfing on Maui! I think I'll have to add those on to my to-do list!

I added the video from you-tube in case anyone reading isn't familiar with either of these sports...

The last time I windsurfed was when I was around 11 years old, and it was on a small lake... err... maybe not even big enough to be called a lake... a pond? haha

Anyhow, although I wasn't very good at it, the one time I managed to really get going, it was SO much fun! So I'm thinking that you're right about it being an awesome thing to try on the island!

As for kiteboarding, I've never tried it... maybe some day I will!
