Our Favourite Beach

It didn't take us long to decide on the beach that we thought was the best beach we'd ever been to: Kaanapali Beach (the portion just north of Black Rock).

I truly couldn't ask for a better beach to spend time on during our Maui beach vacation days!

If you have children, you'll be glad to know that this stretch of white sand paradise is great for families too!

More Family Beaches

Of course, not everyone is staying on West Maui... if you're staying in South Maui, there are great Maui beaches there too.

If you're looking for a beach where you can spend a day swimming, suntanning and relaxing with your family, we've made a list of the best beaches in Maui for that! These beaches are all located in close proximity to the major resort areas in Maui.

We've researched the beaches on Maui so you don't have to! Here are our three most intriguing beaches:

1) Nahiku Cove: This beach is wild and rugged, and is said to have breathtaking ocean views!

2) A beach that many have referred to as a SECRET BEACH: Images of this red sand beach look like something out of a dream. Apparently this beach is tough to get to and the journey involves a bit of hiking!

3) Waianapanapa Black Sand Beach: Although we've seen black sand beaches before, this one is better than the rest because it has lava tubes and MORE for the explorer in you!

Last, but not least, we have 2 more noteworthy beaches for you!

Big Beach: This beach is a wild and undeveloped gem South of Wailea.

Little Beach: This beach is also south of Wailea - you'll want to know what you're getting into BEFORE heading over here... birthday suits anyone?

I hope to get back to Maui soon, since we didn't have nearly enough Maui beach vacation days to see all of her beaches! 30 miles of sandy shorelines equals a LOT of beaches!
