4-star Luxury on Worldclass Kaanapali Beach!

The Honua Kai Resort Maui is a 4-star high rise condominium resort located on the northern end of what I think is one of the best beaches on the island, Kaanapali Beach, Maui! It's practically brand new too - the first tower was completed in 2009, and the second tower was completed only in 2010! Being so new, and perfectly located, it's no wonder the reviews have been overwhelmingly positive!

Amenities at the Honua Kai Resort Maui

The Honua Kai Resort and Spa has many of the amenities that one would find at the major resort hotels:

Their fitness center is open 24 hours a day, and features top-notch equipment and machines.

The Honua Kai Resort and Spa also has a beautiful Aquatic Playground which features a waterslide, waterfall and a winding river!

Kaanapali Beach Maui is right out front, which is great if you're in the mood for sand and surf! If you love to snorkel like we do, you can take a stroll down the beach to Black Rock Maui for worldclass snorkeling fun!

For guests with keiki, the Honua Kai Resort and Spa provides their Family Fun Club. Children aged 3-12 (along with their families) will enjoy their Hawaiian-themed activities such as music, song, hula dancing, storytelling and more.

Adults and kids alike will enjoy the 38 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds which features a wetland pond surrounded by indigenous plants that attracts birds and even sea turtles!

Dining at the Honua Kai Resort Maui

This is one area where the Honua Kai Resort Maui really shines compared to most of the other condo rentals in Maui.

Unlike most of the others, the Honua Kai Resort and Spa has its very own on-site restaurants (with plans for a third!)

There's Hawaiian cuisine, made with fresh local ingredients, at Duke's Beach House. This open-air oceanfront restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For a quick, casual meal, there's Aina Gourmet Market with it's cafe and coffee bar (open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.) Another perk is that Aina Gourment Market also carries a full selection of groceries and sundries so you can cook up a great meal in your suite!

If you don't feel like cooking, or dining out, you can take full advantage of the Honua Kai Resort and Spa's room service!

Rooms at the Honua Kai Resort Maui

The rooms here at the Honua Kai Resort and Spa look gorgeous! Being such a recently built property, the decor and furnishings are up-to-date and modern. Some of the highlights include:

• private bathroom for each bedroom
• beautiful teak and travertine throughout
• gourmet, fully equipped, luxury kitchens featuring high-end Bosch appliances
• granite countertops throughout
• flat-screen TV, internet access and more
• a wall of windows looks out over the lanais, which feature glass walled railings to maximize the views!
• en-suite clotheswashers and dryers
• in addition to the above, specialty suites have fully furnished lanais (balconies), stainless steel Viking appliances, and a Bosch washer and dryer

Studios

The studio suites are 595 sq. ft, plus a lanai (balcony) with the option of ocean or partial ocean views from their open floor plans. They have 1 king-size bed and 1 queen-size sofa bed, and can accommodate a maximum 4 guests.

1-Bedroom Suites

The 1-bedroom suites are 630-750 sq. ft. plus a fully furnished lanai (balcony) with the option of ocean, partial ocean, resort or mountain views from their open floor plans. They have 1 king-size bed in the master bedroom and 1 queen-size sofa bed in the living room, and can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests.

2-Bedroom Suites

The 2-bedroom suites are 1200 sq. ft. plus a fully furnished lanai (balcony) with the option of ocean, partial ocean and resort views from their open floor plans. They have 1 king-size bed per bedroom and 1 queen-size sofa bed in the living room, and can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests.

Specialty 2-Bedroom Suites

The specialty 2-bedrooms at the Honua Kai Resort and Spa are HUGE at 2650 sq. ft with a fully furnished lanai, and the best part is their gorgeous ocean views! They each have 1 king-size bed per bedroom and 1 queen-size sofa bed in the living room, and can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests.

3-Bedroom Suites

The 3-bedroom suites are approximately 1750 sq. ft. plus a fully furnished lanai with the option of ocean, partial ocean and resort views from their open floor plans. They have 1 king-size bed in each bedroom and 1 queen-size sofa bed in the living room, and can accommodate a maximum 8 guests.

Specialty 3-Bedroom Suites

The specialty 3-bedroom at the Honua Kai Resort Maui are very large, and feature gorgeous ocean views. They have 1 king-size bed in each bedroom and 1 queen-size sofa bed in the living room, and can accommodate a maximum of 8 guests. Since the Honua Kai Resort and Spa is a condominium complex, there's a choice of either renting a condo directly from the owner through a site such as HomeAway, renting directly from the Honua Kai itself, or, renting from one of the major travel sites such as HotelsCombined.
