Maui Events: The "Progressive Dinner" with Top Maui Chefs in Lahaina, HI!

This is one of those Maui events that it truly pains me to miss out on!

By now many of you will know that I LOVE to eat... so it will come as no surprise that out of all of the things to do in Lahaina, HI (and the rest of Maui, for that matter!), this unique event piqued my interest!

The Progressive Dinner is one of the newer things to do in Lahaina, HI as it had its debut only in May of 2009.

Ok... time to get started and tell you just what exactly the Progressive Dinner IS! Here is a quick summary:

Guests at the "Progressive Dinner" enjoy dining on top notch cuisine as they are taken to various historical sites in Lahaina. (Seriously, you should have seen the menu from the last event... it looked fantastic!) After dining at the Wo Hing Museum, the Baldwin Missionary Home, and the Hale Aloha's courtyard, guests enjoy their sumptuous dessert buffet at the Pioneer Inn.

This is one of those Maui events that is more than just fine dining however - there will also be live theatre throughout the evening giving guests a taste of life in Lahaina during the 1800's and early 1900's.

If this "Progressive Dinner" sounds like one of the things to do in Lahaina, HI that you'd be interested in, you can get more details on upcoming Progressive Dinners from the Lahaina Restoration Foundation.

Tickets for the May 2010 event were $135... I know... that's expensive!... BUT, $60 of that was tax deductible as this was essentially a fundraiser to help the Lahaina Restoration Foundation preserve Lahaina's historic sites.

If only I was in Maui to take part in this!!

(If any of you ended up going in the past, or plan to in future, I'd love to hear about it... So why not share your experience with us!)
